On July 13, Antioch International Church in partnership with Samaritan’s Feet held a Shoes of Hope distribution in Miami, Florida. The distribution was conducted at a children’s home for international minors who were without guardians. The children ranged from ages 3-15, and many had only been in America for a few weeks. Some of the children were from Haiti and were still healing from injuries inflicted during the earthquake.
As the first four boys sat down to have their feet washed, the weather on Miami took its toll and the power went out. With no lights and no air conditioning on a hot Miami day in July, the team washed feet and placed over 70 pairs of new shoes on the feet of the students as Pastor Jesse shared with them the love of God. Most of the students could not speak English. However, an unforgettable bond of love was forged between these young people and the Samaritan’s Feet team from Antioch International Church.
